What is .travel?
Travel Media Applications, organised two very interesting workshops for the Vienna Tourism Board, in Athens (21st Sept.,2011) and Thessaloniki (22nd Sept.,2011) for the promotion of this prestigious destination.
More than 40 outgoing travel agents in Athens and around 20 in Thessaloniki, had the chance to hear news from Vienna. In 2012, Gustav Klimt would have been 150 years and Vienna honors its great artist by announcing next year as the “Gustav Klimt” year. Apart from the news from Vienna, all attendants had the chance to learn about the destination and of course discuss and “negotiate” with co-exhibitors, such as Austrian Airlines, Mondial Incoming, Swarowski Crystal Museums and Image Performing Arts.
Such events, as pointed by TMA’s Managing Director, Mr Theodore Koumelis “give the chance to professionals to broaden further their cooperations in a very efficient and time-saving procedure”. Vienna Tourism Board congratulated TMA for the high standards of organisation (despite the hard circumstances due to strikes) and promised to repeat these succesful events next year.
The Ambassador of India opened the event with a short interesting speech pointing the ties between the two nations and Mr Gobind Bhuyan, Director of India Tourism Ofiice of Milan gave a colourful presentation for “Incredible India”. Some lucky travel agents had the joy to receive presents from the Indian delegation in the lucky draw and the event closed with a cheerful cocktail reception.
All delegates spoke warmly for T.M.A.’s organization while Mr Sanyog Gupta gave us his congratulations for managing an efficient workshop.
